It is hard to believe we’ve only been back three weeks as the students are so settled you would think it’s been months. All classroom programs are well under way and by now you should be receiving your 5 weekly outcomes which give you an idea of the learning happening in our classes.
I hope you all had an opportunity on Tuesday to read the finest edition of the West Australian printed this year which reported our very wise Year 2 students.
Tonight is a very important one for the Year 4 students when they receive the MacBooks as part of the roll out of our ‘one to one’ program. This is an exciting time for them and educationally a great boost of their learning.
Next Wednesday is Ash Wednesday and marks the beginning of Lent. We will attend Mass with all classes from Year 1 to Year 6 at 9am.This is a great time to reflect on our lives and see what it is we can to do help others.
You might think I’m the invisible man over the next couple of weeks as I will be busy conducting Kindergarten Interviews. If there is something pressing you really would like to discuss with me please make an appointment through the office as I will not be readily available. Also if you know of families or neighbours who should have applied for Kindergarten enrolment for 2013 and haven’t already done so, please urge them to contact immediately as they well may miss out on a position for that year.
I encourage all parents to come to the Welcome Back Picnic on Friday night organised by our wonderful P&F. This is a great time to meet new friends and catch up with those we haven’t seen over the holidays. Looking forward to seeing you there.
